2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Diesel Release Date
2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Diesel Release Date GMC continues to send shock waves through the automotive industry with the next generation Sierra lineup. The latest addition to this line-up is the 2019 GMC Sierra elevation, a double cab pickup that is bold, capable and high-tech.
We’ll take a look at all the things you can expect before the release date. Speaking of which, if you’re just here to find out when you can get behind the wheel, we’re not going to keep you in suspense. The 2019 GMC Sierra elevation will go on sale sometime in the fall of 2018. We do not know yet whether this means an early autumn or a rapprochement with the winter, but either way, the wait should not be too long.
The survey joins the ranks of other Sierra models, including Denali, AT4 and SLT. So what is different about the altitude and what comes with it?
To start, there are some significant design differences with the elevation model. Things like monochromatic door handles and bumpers give her a daring look as if she were carved out of a single piece of metal. The monochromatic theme accentuates black accents like a black lattice insert and black 20-inch aluminum wheels. Inside is an 8-inch infotainment system touchscreen that has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability.
The height model, which switches the gears to the power side, impresses with a standard 310-horsepower engine that pumps out 348 lb-ft of torque. However, an available V8 is also an option, and it uses a dynamic fuel management system that can be activated anywhere from one to eight cylinders, depending on the power and efficiency requirements of the truck. At the end of the engine lineup for the Sierra elevation is a 3.0-liter turbo diesel paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Complementing all this is something perfect for off-roaders. It is the X31 off road package that equips the truck with Rancho shocks, Hill descent control, protective lower body skidplates, a two-speed transfer housing with low-range gearbox and a heavy air filter.
We’ve gone through a lot about what you can expect from the 2019 GMC Sierra elevation, but we feel like we’re still just scratching the surface. As far as the engines are concerned, buyers look at the 5.3-liter V8, which last year made 355 horsepower, the 6.2-liter V8, which made 420 hp and a new 3.0-liter I6 turbo diesel. Outputs for 2019 have not been revealed yet. The 6.2 and the diesel will come with a ten-speed automatic; The 5.3 will probably get the eighth pace of the past year.
The look is obviously new, and a big move away from his Silverado cousin. The front end is large-like the shoulders high-the grid is bigger, the head and taillights are new and the GMC logo is bigger. The pickup is larger in each dimension and the wheels are pushed further into the corners.
Inside, the Sierra has a higher seating position than in the previous year, a new head-up display and new materials, including dark aluminum and unpored wood. It also has 3 additional inches of rear seat legroom, with best-in-class front head and legroom.

Buyers will also receive a new infotainment system, a standard navigation on Denali, a surround view camera, and GMC’s new Prograde trailering system. The system includes an app with a pre-departure checklist, maintenance reminders, trailer light test, trailer electro diagnostics and trailer tyre pressure and tyre temperature monitoring. An additional camera in the back observes the hook as you connect to a trailer while side cameras help while you are backing up.
All these features make the 2019 Sierra easier to drive, easier to park and easier to use and to live with every day, which seems to be the direction in which the pickup market is going. People use these vehicles for far more than the work, and Ford, GMC, Chevy and Ram seem to know this, and offer features that make the pickup truck ownership easier than ever before-even for beginners.
We don’t have any prices yet, but the 2018 GMC Sierra SLT starts at about $47,000 and the Denali version starts at about $55K; The 2019 GMC Sierra is going on sale this fall.
